Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is treating Meaghan Neuberger to the good life. Not only has she landed a professional career in dentistry, she is excited to be closer to her and her husband's families.
Meaghan is originally from Pierre, South Dakota. She graduated from T.F. Riggs High School and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of South Dakota. She then received her DDS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry in Lincoln. She now practices as a general dentist at Hahn Dental Clinic.
"I love having my career in Sioux Falls because, professionally, there is a very supportive network here," said Meaghan. "The community wants you to succeed." Sioux Falls has seen explosive growth, including more jobs and expanding medical facilities. Forbes ranked Sioux Falls #1 as " Best Small Place for Business and Careers " in March 2008.
Another perk Meaghan has found is the great quality of life. "Sioux Falls will be a great place to raise a family," she said. "We feel safe and comfortable here." South Dakota has the second lowest crime rate in the nation.
Not only is the crime rate low, but so is the cost of living. "After visiting family and friends in other states, we have realized how low the cost of living in South Dakota really is." As of April 2008, South Dakota ranked #2 nationally in cost of living and #9 nationally in per capita disposable income adjusted for cost of living.
"Sioux Falls is an affordable place to live with exciting things to do," said Meaghan. "We feel we have a great future in South Dakota."
